The road leads down many serpentines along the Trisuli valley and continues along the Trisuli river to Mugling. From there we follow the Marsyandi Khola up the valley to Besisahar (about 750 m). Here we change a local jeeps and drive over a gravel road through the Marsyandi Valley via Bhulbhule (about 850 m) to Chamje or Jagat. Wonderful drive through small settlements and terraced fields, we gain a first impression of the village life of the Gurung ethnics group. Early in the morning we start our trekking in Jagat. We cross the river several times on the stable suspension bridges. Slowly leave the rice fields and barley, potato and buckwheat fields welcome you in the high mountains. Overnight at Lodge in Dharapani (B/L/D)
Today we enjoy a relatively nice route through upper Marsyandi valley to Chame. This is the main town of the Manang district. At the entrance to the village stands a long Mani wall with prayer wheels, which is typical of the villages in Manang. During our lunch break in Timang we have a nice view of the whole Manaslu massif. After lunch, it goes in continuous ups and downs to Chame, which is the district administrative of Manang. We leave Chame and walk through beautiful forests up the valley to Pisang. There, the valley opens up and we have a wonderful view of the Annapurna II and the over 6000 meter high Pisang. From the Pisang the mountain panorama is even more beautiful to see. This part of the village has a lot of atmosphere and exciting monasteries that we can visit. Overnight at Lodge in Pisang (B/L/D)
From Pisang the beautiful path leads on the right side of the valley to Ngawal. On the way we pass the small turquoise colored lake Mring Tso. We follow the serpentine path up to the small village of Ghyaru, which we reach after a rather strenuous climb. From here we have a fantastic view of the massif of Annapurna. Our path leads through beautiful villages passing mani walls and chhyorten. After a very impressive trekking day we reach the village of Ngawal. Overnight in Lodge (B/L/D)
We stay in Ngawal and can hike up towards the Kang La to acclimatize. From there we have a wonderful view of the entire high valley of Manang and are directly opposite the Annapurna and Gangapurna. Overnight in Lodge (B/L/D)

Today's route is short from the distance. There are no villages all year round and so the choice of accommodation is not that big. We stay in a lodge in Thorong Phedi. If we are little lucky, we will see a herd of blue sheep on the mountain slopes above the path. This afternoon we rest for tomorrow's pass crossing, which is the most highlight of annapurna circuit. Today we have to tackle the long way to Muktinath. Even before dawn, we start with headlamps. The path leads in serpentines over stony terrain up to a large lateral moraine. There is hardly a better feeling than reaching the summit of a Himalayan pass after a strenuous climb. Above, the prayer flags flutter in the wind. It takes the printed prayers with him to the gods who lives on the Himalayan peaks. Here, the wind may carry the prayers to Annapurna. The name Annapurna belongs to the mountain goddess, who is based on the high peaks of the Annapurna massif. Annapurna means "the goddess of food" and is considered the form of goddess Parvati from Hindu mythology. Here we enjoy the magnificent view. The descent is long and brings us almost 1600 meters down to the mysterious pilgrimage Muktinath, 3800 m. Overnight in Lodge in Muktinath (B/L/D)
This morning we visit the temple complexes of Muktinath, which are worshiped by Hindus and Buddhists. The Hindus make a pilgrimage to the sacred waters of Muktinath, which gushes out of 108 bronze gargoyles. The Buddhists pay homage to the eternal, sacred fire in the monastery, which is fed by a natural gas well. In the afternoon we walk from Muktinath to Lupra. Here is well hidden a monastery of Bön religion. This is the ancient religion of Tibet, which was later replaced by Buddhism. Only in a few places in the Himalayas is the Bön religion still practiced, with its partly ritual and shamanistic elements. Early in the morning we fly to Pokhara, if the weather helps us and drive on to the hotel. Today we can relax and enjoy in the hotel. It is possible to visit a mountaineering museum. (B/L/D)
