Overview

Mera Peak (6,461m) is an exciting, scenically stunning mountain becoming popular among trekkers and climbers as it is the highest trekking peak in Nepal. It offers an unparalleled panoramic view of highest mountains including Mount Everest 8848m, Mt Lhotse 8516m, Mt Kanchenjunga 8586, Mt.Makalu 8463m, Cho Oyu 8201m and many other beautiful high Mountains. The climb on Mera Peak is technically not difficult as ascending snow slopes rarely exceed 40 degrees. The only qualification you need to ascend Mera peak is your excellent physical fitness and an extrovert sense of adventure. This adventures Trip starts after a short flight to the airstrip of Lukla, Mera Peak allows adventure lovers and mountaineering enthusiasts to be a part of the mountain climbing experience in the Himalayas. The walk in initially through the Rhododendron forest of the Hinku Valley is incredibly beautiful and provides excellent acclimatization for the peak itself.

Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu (1340m.) and transfer to the hotel.


Welcome to Nepal and Namaste! On arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, a representative from our office will greet you at the airport and escort you to your hotel and help you check in. You will then be briefed about your daily activities. In the evening, we have welcome dinner and we'll talk a little about Nepal and our program.   (-/-/D)

Day 2: Flight to Lukla and hike around the Lukla (2800m.)


Early in the morning spectacular flight to Lukla and experience landing on a steep mountain runway, where we get our crew and after we hike around the Lukla for acclimatization and explore the locale culture as well as encounter with many other mountaineer or locale people. Overnight at Lodge (B/L/D)

Day 3: Trek to Chutenga (3440m. 5 hrs)


Today we ascent through fir and rhododendron forest towards Hungu valley, we reach our first trekking destination at yak pasture Chutanga 3440m. Today we spend the night in the tent. (B / L / D)

Day 4: Rest day at Chhutenga (3440m.)


oday is just fourth day in Nepal. It is better to take Rest day at Chhutanga before our big pass Zatrawa-la to improve our Acclimatization for the Mera Peak. We take the little excursion around the place. Overnight at tent (B/L/D)

Day 5: Trek to Thulikharka (4160m, 6-7 hrs)


Today, we trek from Chutenga to Zatrawala Pass (4610m.) and then to Zatrabok (4704m.). Along the trail, we will trek steep ascent to cross Zatrawala Pass. This pass offers spectacular views of Numbur Himal, Kongdi RI, Karyolang peak and many others. Overnight at tent (B/L/D)

Day 6: Trek to Kothe (3550m, 5 hrs)


We descend steep trail to reach Kothe. We walk through dense rhododendron and Junipers forest. Finally, we arrive in camp in Kothe. Overnight at tent (B / L / D)

Day 7: Trek to Tangnag (4230m, 5 hrs)


After brekfast, we along the Sabal Tsho-Lake, through Hinku valley the trail is gradual ascent viewing the scenic views of Kusum Kanguru through the yak pastures up to the Tangnag. Overnight at tent (B/L/D)

Day 8: Acclimatization day at Tangnag,


We would take rest at Tangnang for acclimatization. Today, we go around the valley to explore the local culture and enjoy the scenic view stunning peaks and glaciers. Overnight at tent (B/L/D)

Day 9: Trek to Khare (5100m, 5 hrs)


Our trail to Khare leads us eastwards across the moraine of the Dig Glacier open pasture at Dig Kharka. The trail offers  stunning view of Glacier and the north face of Mera Peak. Overnight at tent (B/L/D)  .

Day 10: Acclimatization at Khare


Today we have rest dayand we are preparing for ascent to Mera Peak. Here we use the moraine and scree slopes of the base of the Mera Glacier to familiarize ourselves with high altitude gear, with safety practices, with climbing techniques. Overnight at tent (B/L/D)

Day 11: Trek to Mera La (5415m) and Base Camp (5300m 5 hrs)


We climb towards the Mera La, our route winding its way between the crevasses on the glacier’s lower eastern flank. After half an hour, the gradient eases and we emerge onto the wide plateau that leads up to the Pass. A further hour’s climbing and we see the prayer flags marking our arrival at the Mera La (5,415m). After pass we descend to basecamp. Overnight at tent (B/L/D)

Day 12: Ascent to High Camp (5800m. 5 hrs)


Today is one of the best parts of our Trek. This route offers breathtaking views of huge mountains including highest of the world, like Mt. Everest 8848m, Lhotse 8516m, Makalu 8475m, Cho Oyu 8201m, Nuptse, Amadablam, Chamlang, Baruntse, Kangtega and many others view. Overnight at tent  (B / L / D)

Day 13: Ascent to the summit (6461m) and descend to Khare (4900m, 10 hrs)


This is truly a great day. The Team wakes up at 1:00 o’clock for the preparation of breakfast. The Mountaineers also wake up at 02.30 o’clock and have very early breakfast. After breakfast, we will put on crampons and rope and set up for special journey to the summit. If we are a well-acclimatized group, it takes around 4-6 hours to reach the summit of Mera central. The panorama from peaks that greets us will blow all notions of tiredness from our limbs. It offers spectacular views of Mt. Everest (8848 m), Cho Oyu (8201 m), Lhotse (8516 m), Makalu (8475 m), Kanchenjunga (8586 m), Nuptse (7855 m), Chamlang (7319 m), Baruntse (7 129m) Ama Dablam (6856 m) Kangtega (6685 m) and many more. After reaching the summit, we follow our way down to high camp. After a break and some hot soup / tea in the high camp we support continued down to Khare. Overnight at tent (B / L / D)

Day 14: Reserve Day for Contingency


here is no such guarantee; we have a rather favorable weather for the summit on our scheduled day. So that this day is used as a contingency in such a case, if we cannot reach to the summit of Mera Peak due to bad weather, then the day may be used in this state. If all goes well, the journey as Planned, then we do not need the spare day. Overnight in tent (B / L / D)

Day 15: 15-17, Day: Trek to Lukla,


We leave the mountains behind us and our trek lead us ascend and descend over the number of passes and through Alpine altitudinal vegetation like huge rhododendron, fir and juniper forest to Lukla and we also enjoy the during our trip magnificent view 0f many mountains, where our Trekking end and we have to say goodbye with our crew and we celebrate together in the evening. 16-17 days overnight in the tent and last day in Lukla in Lodge (B / L / D)

Day 18: Flight to Kathmandu (1340m.)


Early in the morning we leave Lukla and flight back to Kathmandu. On arrival in Kathmandu we will be met with our staff and transferred to the Hotel. Afternoon we have free day for shopping or relax at Hotel. (B/L/D)

Day 19: The sightseeing in Kathmandu (Pashupatinath, Patan and Baudhanath)


Sightseeing tour through the UNESCO world heritage site; first of all we visit the Hindu temple Pashupatinath, which is one of the oldest Hindu Temples dedicated to Lord Shiva. It is for the Hindus what Mecca is for the Muslims. Situated on the bank of the sacred Bagmati River, the temple was built in Pagoda Style with gilded roof and richly carved silver doors. Pashupatinath is the center of annual pilgrimage on the day of Shivaratri which falls in the month of February or March. We will also be able to see cremation grounds that lie on the bank of Bagmati behind the temple. Then we drive to the holiest place of Buddhist, Boudhanath Stupa one of the oldest and the biggest Buddhist monuments ever built in Nepal; Boudhanath is one of the holiest structures imposing a height of 37 meters with three massive level Mandala style platforms. It is surrounded by colorful buildings housing families creating a friendly enclosure. The Stupa is visited every year by tens of thousands of pilgrims from all over the world. Then afternoon we visit Patan City,  Located about 5 km south of Kathmandu, Patan is one of 3 royal cities in the valley. A destination for connoisseurs of fine arts, Patan is filled with wood and stone carvings, metal statues, ornate architecture, including dozens of Buddhist and Hindu temples, and over 1200 monuments. Day 20: Facultative programs to Bhaktapur or free day for shopping


Today is time for shopping and relax at the hotel or we can book any optional program. Kathmandu offers many place to visit, Bhaktapur and Changu Narayan Temple are the most interesting site of Kathmandu to visit, which is belongs under the world heritage site of valley. (B/L/D)

Day 21: Departure and arrival in home land.


Today we transfer to the airport early in the morning or in evening and arrival in homeland. (B/-/-)
